Voice Surgery

As a highly specialized ear, nose, and throat surgeon, I have seen first-hand the transformative effects that voice surgery can have on patients. At my practice, I specialize in a range of voice surgeries that can help patients achieve a better quality of life.

One patient that comes to mind is a professional singer who was experiencing severe vocal fatigue and hoarseness. Despite trying various remedies, the problem persisted, and it was affecting their ability to perform at their best. After a thorough evaluation, we determined that the patient had vocal cord nodules that were causing the symptoms.

I recommended a minimally invasive surgical procedure called microlaryngoscopy with removal of vocal cord nodules. This procedure involved using a special instrument to remove the nodules from the patient's vocal cords.

After the surgery, the patient's voice was transformed. Not only did they experience significant improvement in their vocal range and quality, but they were also able to perform for longer periods without experiencing any vocal fatigue or hoarseness. The patient was thrilled with the results and grateful for the restored ability to perform without discomfort.

Another patient I treated was a teacher who was experiencing significant vocal strain due to the nature of their profession. Their job required speaking for extended periods, and it was taking a toll on their voice. After a thorough evaluation, I recommended a procedure called vocal cord augmentation.

During this procedure, I injected a gel-like substance into the patient's vocal cords to add volume and improve their vocal quality. After the procedure, the patient was able to speak for longer periods without experiencing any discomfort or hoarseness. They were able to continue with their profession without worrying about vocal strain and discomfort.

These are just two examples of how voice surgery can transform a patient's life. At my practice, I believe in providing individualized treatment plans that cater to each patient's unique needs. If you are experiencing any vocal issues, I encourage you to schedule an appointment with me to explore your treatment options.
